Hanami (花見^?, lit. "flower viewing") is the Japanese traditional custom of enjoying the beauty of flowers, "flower" in this case almost always meaning cherry blossoms (桜 or 櫻, sakura^?), or ume blossoms (梅, ume^?). From late March to early May, sakura bloom all over Japan. The blossom forecast (桜前線, sakurazensen^?, lit. cherry blossom front) is announced each year by the weather bureau, and is watched carefully by those planning hanami as the blossoms only last a week or two. In modern-day Japan, hanami mostly consists of having an outdoor party beneath the sakura during daytime or at night. Hanami at night is called yozakura (lit. "night sakura").

Miyajima is very beautiful in Spring.

How is goin? Its a really cozzy and beautiful day, today! as you know the spanish painter Sandro just left today.

I was looking forward to meet new companies, but there were not so many of them, we were expecting. it was around 15:00 me, hisa, and a banker were chatting. Suddenly bunch of "Gaijin" came in from the entrance.

we are kindo freaked out b/c we werent expecting these people. but they said they alraedy booked! 

anyway this big group was Mr. Shaw's family plus their friend Peter!  this big Auzzie family is really funny and friendly!!  they own hostel for backpackers in Byron Bay about 18 yrs.

they just got here from Kyoto, and then they are gonna go to Tokyo after finishing Hiroshima.

I hope they have safe and great travel!!!

By the way Im goin to Kyoto and Osaka today for Job hunntting by a night Bus.

this time is really hard to get job, b/c of this recession.

Im goin to stay my cusin's apartment and then i guess im goin to see kyoto after i finish the seminers. Im so looking forward to see Kyoto.

Ive been there couples times but its always good to visit there and have new experiences!

Hey Guys!! How is everything goin on?  This is Ayami from Backpackers Miyajima.

Today I wanna talk about this guy from Spain, who does paint for his living. His name is Sandro. He is really passionate person; he came to Japan for to get good inspirations for his art work by seeing other custom and culture.

"The impression of japan is so many pressures." he said. And then he continued " People are helpful and Never get angry. They are so nice to do everything. But sometimes I miss my country because not so many people have passion in Japan. " I do understand why he said that. Our culture is kind of strict everything and always have to focus on real life.

Anyway Our Manager, Hisa offered to him to paint our wall.

They went out to get some material for the patting. This time he used Acrylic. His theme of this art work is "PEACE".

As you know we had sad memory of atomic bomb.

The picture of White line means "Bomb dropping" and Color of blue means "Water" because when the bomb was dropped, injured people asked fresh water and they died after they drunk the polluted water. So the meaning of woman is "God of water" she saves fresh water, peace flowers and Peaceful to everyone.

I'm really grateful for his work. This means a lot to me. Because I was born in Hiroshima and have to tell people, how bad the war is, I really hope whole this world become really peace and people can live without scared.

There was Oysters Festival in Ohno where nearby Miyajima.

I visited to there today.

There were many people and many oysters!!

I ate them too much, this is first time to eat it in my life!! Too much oysters.

There are oysters festival in Miyajima 14th, 15th Feb 2009.

You better go there and get free oysters!!

Why don't you stay at Backpackers Miyajima which is easy to go to Miyajima.
